Job Summary
As a Recruiter at Minster Law, you will play a key role in attracting and securing high-quality talent
across the business. This role will enhance capability and support the delivery of an efficient,
candidate-focused, and manager-enabled recruitment process.
Working closely with hiring managers and the wider People team, you will be responsible for
sourcing candidates, managing longlisting and shortlisting activity, conducting phone interviews,
and providing practical guidance to managers throughout the recruitment life cycle.
Core Responsibilities
• Support the delivery of end-to-end recruitment across Minster Law, working closely with
the Recruitment and Talent Lead and hiring managers
• Proactively source candidates using a range of attraction methods including job boards,
LinkedIn, talent pools, referrals, and direct search
• Create and manage job postings, ensuring role adverts are engaging, inclusive, and aligned
with Minster’s employer brand
• Undertake longlisting and shortlisting against agreed role criteria, ensuring fairness and
consistency
• Conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate suitability, motivation, and cultural
alignment
• Arrange and coordinate interviews, ensuring a positive and professional candidate
experience
• Support and advise hiring managers on recruitment best practice, including interview
techniques, selection decisions, and inclusive hiring
• Act as a key point of contact for candidates, providing timely communication and feedback
throughout the process
• Maintain accurate recruitment data, records, and tracking to support reporting and
decision making
• Work collaboratively with the wider People team to ensure recruitment activity aligns with
workforce plans and business priorities
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within recruitment processes,
procedures, and candidate experience
• Support the development and maintenance of talent pipelines for key roles and future
hiring needs
• Ensure recruitment activity complies with employment legislation, company policies, and
best practice
• Contribute ideas and insights to improve Minster Law’s employer brand and attraction
strategies
Person Specification
• Previous experience in an in-house recruitment or agency recruitment role
• Demonstrable experience of sourcing candidates and managing recruitment campaigns
• Experience of screening CVs, conducting phone interviews, and supporting selection
decisions
• Ability to translate team/ departmental plans into People initiatives
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to work with, understand and adapt your
approach appropriately to various stakeholders internally and externally
• Ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers
• Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies
simultaneously
• A good understanding of fair and inclusive recruitment practices
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider People team
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS)

Key Performance Indicators
Your KPIs and Objectives will be discussed and agreed with you on a one-to-one basis. You will have
regular one-to-one meetings with your line manager to review your performance against these
objectives and identify any areas for development and/or required support.
Working Hours
Full time – 35 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract - 1 - year
Salary Information
The annual salary range for this role is £28,000-£31,000.
