Colleague Experience Business Partner
Job Summary
As Colleague Experience Business Partner you will have a responsibility for embedding and continuously improving the end-to-end Employee Experience across the business with a specific business partnering focus on the Serious Injury team. The CEBP will lead on all relevant employee experience work streams, which will include areas such as policies and procedures, health and wellbeing and staff engagement, performance, recognition and exit, aligned to Minster’s values and objectives.
Working closely with the Senior HR Operations Manager, the CEBP will work closely with other HR team colleagues whilst also working closely with wider business stakeholders such as the Senior Management team and wider leadership team.
Core Responsibilities
Business Partnering
Work with the Senior HR Operations Manager to identify People priorities from other functions and departmental plans, translating their strategic aims into deliverable actions
Act as the primary Partner with Serious Injury (Multi-Track), ensuring relationships are built with the leadership community.
Act as a Partner to wider Business Leaders to drive a positive colleague experience and organisational culture, ensuring alignment with business goals
Develop a thorough understanding of the operational, cultural and people challenges in your business area to support with both BAU and people specific interventions and projects.
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders across Minster Law on all People related areas
Employee Experience Delivery
Own and lead the Employee Experience agenda across Minster, and continually improve initiatives across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to end of employment.
Use colleague feedback, engagement data and insight to create opportunities for improvement.
Ensure employee experience principles are embedded into the people frameworks, policies and leadership capabilities.
Champion diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives, ensuring that employee experience reflects a commitment to an inclusive workplace
Delivery of key People initiatives across the Employee Experience Spectrum, and wider for Serious Injury (SI) teams
Support and advise leaders on employee engagement, wellbeing and retention strategies utilising data driven insights to influence decisions and measure impact
Engagement, Wellbeing and Listening
Play a key role in the design, delivery and follow up of the H1 and H2 colleague engagement survey to ensure results and translated into measurable actions across the business – work with the People Projects BP for Volume Claims and Onboarding to ensure they have the results and put in place relevant colleague initiatives
Use survey outcomes and other feedback mechanisms to tailor improvements in employee experience
Data, Insight and Continuous Improvement
Work closely with the HR Data and Management Information Analyst to actively collect, analyse and interpret People data using insight to influence decisions at individual, team or departmental level in line with current best practice.
Use data to drive initiatives and actions, and collect narrative to support data indicator
Track the impact of employee experience initiatives through agreed measures, using insights to drive continuous improvement
Leadership, Capability and Talent
Lead and develop the Core HR Team which includes the HR Advisor and HR Assistants, ensuring clear priorities, accountability and service delivery.
Undertake employee reviews including one to ones, mid-year and end of year scores for the HR Advisor and HR Assistants, providing coaching and development where needed.
Provide coaching and support to wider People Team colleagues and leaders across the business on complex employee relations cases
Be an advocate for and support leaders with talent management. succession and workforce planning discussions to ensure we have a skilled workforce with strong internal talent pipelines
Work closely with the wider People team to ensure services are delivered in line with agreed SLA’s and KPI’s
Employee Relations and Policy
· Lead and manage ER cases which are highly complex, ensuring consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
· Provide guidance and coaching to the People Team, colleagues and leaders on ER Matters.
· Review and update policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with legislation, meet best Practice and match Minster Law’s culture. Update and share policies with the Senior HR Operations Manager for sign off.
Communication and Culture
Actively contribute and engage with the Internal communications committee, providing advice and guidance on all colleague related communications
Lead and shape colleague communications across the HR spectrum for example, health and wellbeing, reward and recognition and colleague engagement
Payroll
Ensure that Payroll is delivered accurately each month in the most efficient and effective manner, working closely with relevant stakeholder to make sure that any payroll errors identified are corrected and lessons are learned to ensure that they don’t reoccur
Complete monthly payroll audit process identifying root causes or errors and implementing improvements.

Person Specification
Essential
CIPD Level 5 qualified and/ or significant relevant experience in a specialist HRBP/Experience role.
Demonstrable experience of leading employee experience, engagement or culture initiatives within a SME environment.
Strong ability to translate team/ departmental plans into experience led people initiatives
Proven experience of coaching and developing leaders and HR professionals.
Excellent communication skills with an ability to work with, understand and adapt your approach appropriately to various stakeholders internally and externally
Demonstrable experience of coaching, guiding, and developing leaders, and colleagues
Proficient in collecting, analysing and using HR data to inform People practices and measure impact
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of businesses strategy, financial and business objectives
Sound working knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application
Advanced excel capability, including ability to do V/XLOOKUP and Pivot tables for data
Passion for developing, stretching yourself and developing your career at Minster Law

Key Performance Indictors
Your KPIs and Objectives will be discussed and agreed with you on a one-to-one basis. You will have regular one-to-one meetings with your line manager to review your performance against these objectives and identify any areas for development and/or required support.
