Recruitment Manager
Location: Wakefield (Hybrid)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week (No weekends)
Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum (DOE)
Are you an experienced recruitment leader who’s passionate about creating an exceptional candidate journey and shaping high‑performing recruitment practices? At Minster Law, we’re looking for a proactive, people‑focused Recruitment Manager to lead our internal recruitment function and help us attract exceptional talent into the business.
About the Role
As our Recruitment Manager, you’ll drive the delivery of an efficient, engaging, and high‑quality recruitment service for both internal stakeholders and candidates. You’ll lead a talented team, ensuring operational excellence while continuously seeking new ways to innovate, improve, and enhance how we attract and hire brilliant people.
You’ll also act as a key partner to our external providers, including our ATS provider (TeamTailor) and agency partners. You'll also work closely with our Senior HR Operations Manager to implement strategic People initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Translate the People strategy into clear recruitment initiatives and ensure they are effectively embedded.
Drive continuous improvement in recruitment processes, sourcing methods, and candidate engagement.
Strengthen our employer brand by partnering with Marketing to engage both active and passive candidates.
Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment delivery, championing a high‑quality and positive candidate experience.
Team Leadership
Lead and support a team including, Recruitment and Talent Lead, Recruiters, and a Recruitment Administrator.
Drive performance, coaching, development, and engagement across the team.
Data, Insights & Governance
Use people data to inform decisions, track recruitment performance (e.g., time‑to‑hire, cost‑per‑hire), and identify risks or bottlenecks.
Collaborate with the HR Data & MI Analyst to ensure reporting is accurate, insightful, and supports continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end recruitment in a fast‑paced environment, ideally in‑house.
Experience leading and developing a high‑performing recruitment team.
Strong knowledge of recruitment strategy, sourcing techniques, and candidate experience best practice.
Excellent data analysis capabilities, including confident use of Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of employment legislation relevant to recruitment and onboarding.
A collaborative, solution‑focused, highly organised approach—and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding recruitment outcomes.
