Minster Law Scotland is hiring a Personal Injury Paralegal to manage their own RTA claims portfolio, deliver outstanding client care, and grow with a supportive, inclusive team.

Job Summary
An exciting opportunity to join a our growing team. The successful candidate will work within the team handling their own portfolio of pursuer injury claims both pre-litigation and litigated. You will have a strong focus to generate fee income and contribute to the general success of the team. You will also assist team members and management as and when required.
The caseload is predominantly RTA based.
Core Responsibilities
· You will be responsible for delivering excellent client care to our clients who have suffered from a traumatic and life changing event.
· Regular communication and face to face meetings with your client.
· Instructions and meetings with expert witnesses
· Analysis of evidence and research of legal issues on liability, causation and quantum.
· Securing early interim payments and appropriate rehabilitation.
· Optimising your client’s settlement.
· Ability to work within a task-based case management system to ensure regular contact is maintained with all clients, providing exceptional customer service and managing their expectations.
· Raising awareness of the department and developing your profile by regularly reporting cases, preparing articles and testimonials and commentary on relevant, current issues.
· Conduct regular technical and case reviews, providing updates and feedback to management.
· Supervision, assisting and drafting court documents and assisting with the training and development of junior members of the team as appropriate.
· Perform to a high level in a target orientated environment.
· Opportunity to assist in litigation.
· To undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business.
Person Specification
Essential
· Proven track record of dealing with injury claims
· Commitment to delivering excellent client care for each of our clients
· Excellent communication skills to include negotiation and objection handling
· Accountable for achieving objectives in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of work quality and client care.
· Competent working with a case management system and good knowledge of Excel and Word.
· Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

· Maintains a positive attitude, self-motivated and uses own initiative.
· Robust - able to deal with changing circumstances and challenging situations whilst still achieving objectives.
